As nature changes its beauty from season to season, you do the same with your clothes. The only difference is that while seasons change quarterly, you on the other hand change clothes daily. Surprisingly, despite the longer periods entailed by each season, you will soon find that your selection of your personal wardrobe intends to match the time of the year emblazoned in your calendar. To see which wardrobe will let you blend with the season you are in, check out the following list. • WINTER WEAR. Winter months are chilly, with or without snow. In some areas, heavy rainfalls and blizzards characterize the coolest season of the year. You must therefore select apparel that can protect your body and skin from the cold and from possible cases of frost bite, rashes and hypothermia. The ideal winter wardrobe consists of your winter coats and winter jackets (which are much thicker and more insulating than the ordinary jackets), thermal pants, scarves, mittens and thick bottoms to keep your body warm and fuzzy. Go for black and dark colors as these absorb heat. When you're feeling festive, wear green and red and celebrate Christmas just the way you want it. • SPRING WEAR. Spring months are a welcome respite from the chilly winter months. Flowers begin to bloom and the world, which looks frozen in winter, stirs anew with plant shoots and other signs of renewed life. Ditch your dark, mundane apparel and switch to fresher and nicer ones that will make you so good to look at when you take a walk at the park. Floral and leaf prints have always been associated with this sprightly and refreshing season. Further, you can now show off some skin if you want to: flowing skirts, shorts, regular-sleeved blouses, shorts and sockless footwear. As you say goodbye to the cold, prepare gracefully to welcome the coming of more humid months. • SUMMER WEAR. Summer months are smoking hot so feel free to look your hottest in this season. Keep your conservative spring wear inside the closet and bring out the wardrobe that propels you to bare your skin more. Summer wear is about all getting prepped for the beach and some tanning: tank tops, short shorts, short skirt, flip flops and dazzling swimwear (bikinis for the ladies, trunks for the gentlemen). Go for light and bright colors as these absorb less heat, cooling your body just the way you want them to. • AUTUMN WEAR. Autumn months have a melancholy feeling to them, letting your summer excitement transition to a more serious and pensive mood. Leaves begin to fall and the world begins to show signs of temporary hibernation. Now, it's time to replace your daring apparel with more subdued and body-covering pieces such as a dandy overcoat or jacket, some sweaters and a lovely pair of boots to match. As a cool wind starts to blow, go for the warm earthen colors characteristic of the season: red, brown and orange. These colors are actually slowly preparing you to embrace the chilly winter months once more. |
